Would you like to learn how to direct a movie or music video? This program will give you the opportunity to develop basic skills in the world of movie making. Experience the technical and artistic aspects of camera operation, sound, lighting, editing, scriptwriting and more to produce and direct your own video with us.
Entertainment Design • Industrial Design
Students will be introduced to the initial stages of special effects. Students will develop 2D concept sketches and progress to a final drawing. A 3D maquette will be sculpted out of Super Sculpey and detailed skin textures applied to complete the realistic model of the student’s final concept.
Fashion Design • Fashion & Retail Management
Explore the fast-paced world of fashion and retail by uncovering insider’s trade secrets. Learn more about exciting career opportunities in fashion! Explore fashion illustration, fashion photography, visual merchandising, textile art, and retailing in small boutiques as well as high-end fashion stores.
Game Art & Design
Modern game design requires a variety of skills including story development (writing), drawing, character and scenic design, level design, and development of the interactive interface and game play aspects of the game. Explore different game genres and learn about the hottest trends in games. Basic computer skills and game-playing experience are expected of all participants.
Interior Design • Kitchen & Bath Design
Explore both residential and commercial interior design with an opportunity to work on a design project from beginning to end. The project includes design terms and trends, space planning, product, and fabric and finish selections.
Media Arts & Animation
Learn the skills and techniques used to create animation in today’s world. Students will explore a variety of techniques from drawing to using computers. Explore your artistic talent and combine it with technological know-how!
Photography
In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to work with cameras and software to photograph and edit images. They will also participate in location and studio shoots. Students can expect to produce a small cohesive portfolio of digital photographs.
Visual Effects & Motion Graphics
Learn how science fiction movies, Hollywood style special effects, defiant music videos, and mind blowing video art are made. Create your own special effects working with the same tools and techniques used by VFX professionals.
Web Design & Interactive Media
Create your own interactive design to share on the web. Learn to combine graphics, sound, animation, text, and video to get your message to your audience on many levels at once. Basic computer skills and Web literacy are expected of all participants.
